All-New Sandals Royal Barbados Details

Sandals Royal Barbados is now taking reservations for arrivals starting December 20th, 2017. Here’s everything you need to know.

What do we know about the accommodations?

It was announced that Sandals Royal Barbados would offer 222 suites, including:

  • Rondovals
  • Millionaire Butler Suites
  • Skypool Suites
  • Swim-Up Suites

If you’re unfamiliar with the room designations, we break it down for you in this previous post.

Below are pictures of the Rondoval and Skypool Suites from a recently built Sandals resort in Grenada. We imagine the Sandals Royal Barbados ones will be similar.

Sandals infinity pools or “skypools” as they call them are really the epitome of luxury. They are built so that you feel a sensation of floating in the sky. Take a plunge into the pool straight from your bedroom while watching the Caribbean sunset. Luxury at it’s finest.

Many of the rooms also feature tranquility soaking tubs with privacy curtains where you can bathe to the view of the Caribbean beach if you’d like. These free standing tubs are a Sandals staple and can be found in any of the Sandals Royal Barbados suites.

What are the food & drink options?

The resort will feature four bars with premium unlimited spirits (Sandals does not skimp on the alcohol) along with a five restaurant multicultural fine dining experience. No word yet on what specific restaurants will be available but the Sandals website has stated that they will feature American, French, Chinese-Japanese Fusion, Caribbean and Mediterranean cuisines. If we know anything, it’s that Sandals does high-end multicultural food extremely well. Check out this video about the SOY restaurant at Sandals Grande Antigua:

As always, if that isn’t enough for you, Sandals’ exchange program gives you access to play and dine at Sandals Barbados as well.

How much will it cost?

Here’s the cost breakdown of a 7-night stay at Sandals Royal Barbados.

As you can see prices can range from $3K+ for a standard suite with tranquility tub to over $13K for a skypool suite. We personally like the mid-range crystal lagoon swim-up suites since you get the luxury of having a zero-entry pool without the price tag of the skypool suite. These suites offer the best bang for your buck in our opinion.
